BetOnline Review

BetOnline has been a staple in the sports betting community since 1991.

That’s a long time.

But… does that mean they’re a solid option? And does that mean they should be your first choice?

Let’s answer both questions.

First, I do think it makes them a solid option. Not perfect, but worth checking out. I have a hard time believing you can be in business for 20+ years and not offer a good service.

That’s borderline insane, let alone impossible. Especially online.

As for the second questions… well… I think I’ll answer that later on in the review. Give it a read – will we come to the same conclusion?

What Can You Bet On At BetOnline?

All the standard stuff.

  • Auto Racing
  • Baseball
  • Basketball
  • Boxing
  • Cricket
  • Darts
  • Football
  • Golf
  • Hockey
  • Martial Arts
  • Rugby
  • Snooker
  • Soccer
  • Tennis
  • Lacrosse
  • Software
  • Olympics
  • Futures and Props

All of these options have drop down menus that lead to more options like college, European or Canadian leagues.

They have a racebook, too, and live betting.

Their website is also mobile-friendly. Just visit from your mobile device (it might just redirect you there) or scan their QR code on their mobile page.

What Promotions Does BetOnline Have Running?

BetOnline has a couple of great deals running. Our favorite is the lifetime bonus – check it out.

25% Welcome Bonus – Make a deposit and receive a 25% match up to $1,000. To get the entire bonus you’ll need to deposit $4,000. This has a 6x rollover requirement.

Lifetime Bonus – On every deposit you make that’s $50 or more you’ll receive a 25% match bonus up to $1,000. This, too, has a 6x rollover.

Live Betting $25 Free Play – This is good on your FIRST bet using their live betting software. Bet $25 of your own money. If you lose the bet, send your receipt to with your account number and they’ll give you a $25 free play directly into your account.

Mobile Betting $50 Free Play – Make your first sports bet from a mobile device. If you lose just send them an email and they’ll reimburse you up to $50.

They run many other promotions, too, including the best MLB dime lines, 7% track rebates and a $25 risk free bet for their racebook.

And if you ever jump into their casino or poker room, they have plenty of promotions there as well.

Features We Like

Here are some of the things we like most about BetOnline.

Lots Of Gambling – You have lots of options here; poker, casino, skill games, racebooks and sports betting. It would be damn-near impossible to be bored. If it were me I would spend all my time in the casino (BetSoft 3D slots and live dealer games for the win).

Lifetime Bonus – I would happily take a smaller deposit bonus for every deposit I made over a large deposit bonus I could only get once. That alone is incentive enough for most people to just stick to one site. But I like it because it offsets your losses. Lose your bankroll on the Superbowl? No problem – just make another deposit and get a quick 25% bonus. Problem solved.

Why You Should Sign Up Today

betonline-betting-odds-screenshotSo… why should you check out BetOnline?

I’ll get to that. But first, I want to point out a couple of improvements they can make.

Their software. It’s outdated, and that goes for their poker room, too. The only thing modern about their software is their casino games.

Most (if not all) of their payout options have fees. So if you’re a smaller bettor you have to (or should) wait until you have a substantial enough bankroll to cash out, otherwise you risk losing a chunk of that to fees. That sucks.

Those things aside, BetOnline does have a robust selection of markets and bet types to choose from. And I don’t think you can go wrong with a lifetime bonus.

So for those reasons I’d check them out. But only if you have an account at Bovada or 5Dimes.

If not – start there. Then come back and check out BetOnline.
