Bovada Review

Who is Bovada?

You know. They’re just under a different name.

They’re the sister site of Bodog. Bodog has been in business for more than 20 years.

This version of the sportsbook caters to the US bettor. On their site Americans can bet on sports, horses, play casino games or crush it at the poker tables.

They’re not a legal US sportsbook. They’re an offshore company, which comes with it’s own set of risks. But when compared to their (offshore) competitors, they’re the safest site to bet at, hands down.

So if you’re a punter in the US, you should check them out. So long as you don’t live in New York, Maryland, Washington or New Jersey. They don’t accept players from those states.

For everyone else this review should tell you everything you need to know about placing bets here.

What Can You Bet On At Bovada?

You have lots of options.

One thing I did notice is that they don’t have as many obscure games or matches that Bet365 does. But, be honest, how many of those sports do you watch anyway, let alone bet on?

You can find some of the options you’ll have at Bovada in the box underneath:

  • Football
  • Basketball
  • Baseball
  • Hockey
  • Soccer
  • UFC/MMA/Boxing
  • Motor Sports
  • Darts
  • Cricket
  • Wrestling
  • Celebrities
  • Politics
  • Business

Most options will break down into more options. Things like pro leagues, college, international leagues, individual teams, players and more.

The types of bets you can make will depend on the sport. But you’ll have options that include props, over/unders, lines, futures, groups, teams and matches.

You can bet live, too. For example, right now Bovada is running live betting for the Braves vs. Rockies game. You can bet on whether there will be a score in the current inning, how many will score, the over/under for the game, and more. They have the World Cup and NBA Finals scheduled, too.

What Promotions Does Bovada Have Running?

There are several. Their promos, like most sportsbooks, depend on the seasons, games and what events are going on.

Right now these are some of our favorites:

You can also play in the casino and poker room, and collect bonuses and promotions in both sections, too. Keep in mind that the initial deposit bonus is a one time thing only though, no matter what section you play in.

But if you take advantage of promos elsewhere you can collect VIP points (to later exchange for cash), qualify for WSOP events or score a $5 casino chip when you bet $20 on sports and in the casino during the weekend.

See? Lots of promos. I recommend joining today and bookmarking their promos page. Maybe even sign up to their newsletter to receive their latest offers.

Bovada’s Deposit Options

You can make a deposit using your credit/debit card, Rapid Transfer or money transfer. For the transfers the minimum is $100, and there may be fees. But Bovada will reimburse you for the fees if you deposit $300 or more.

For withdrawals you can use Rapid Transfer or check by courier.

Features I Like

There are a couple of features that stand out to me.

Mobile – Bovada supports mobile betting from Apple and Android devices. You can use your mobile device to create an account, deposit and place your bets. There’s no download – everything runs from your browser.

Bet Slip – They have an easy to use bet slip in the right hand side. Just click the game and odds you want, and it’ll be added to your slip. From here you just add how much money you want to wager and they will show you how much you can win. Then review and/or modify your wagers, then click ‘place bet’ to submit your wagers. That’s it.

Why You Should Sign Up Today

You should sign up today because they’re the best bookie for Americans. That’s saying something, in this day and age. You either find a legit sportsbook or one that accepts US punters, not usually both.

Punters also know Bovada for their high credit card acceptance rates (another biggie for Americans), quick support and reasonable cash out time frames.

Bovada is just a legit sportsbooks, with live and mobile betting, free money offers and lines for the random political event. You’ll be happy betting here. Check them out now.
